Seattle Auto Insurance Company Finds New Trend

The Seattle auto insurance company, PEMCO, completed a recent poll with surprising results about how Washington state drivers are following laws. Most drivers in Washington describe themselves as law-abiding, but about 1/4 of the same drivers admit to breaking the law by using high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes even when they are not carrying the correct number of passengers in their car.
The article “Washington Drivers Confused About HOV Lanes, Admit to Abusing Lane Privileges” found on PRNewsWire.com summarizes the poll and talks about why more drivers are abusing these carpool lanes. Jon Osterberg, a spokesperson for PEMCO, says people may be abusing the HOV lanes because they are confused about when they have to follow the HOV lane rules. Read more…

Britain vows to keep up pressure on Iceland after ‘no’ vote

Ministers said they would appeal to an international court, after voters in Iceland threw out a plan to repay Britain and the Netherlands for £4bn of losses in the failed Icesave online bank.

The Treasury warned Iceland it would pursue compensation through the courts to replace the cash used by the UK to guarantee savings deposits in the aftermath of the collapse of Icesave and its parent, Landsbanki.

Referendum results showed the Icelandic government had failed to clinch a “yes” vote and clear the way for an agreed repayment plan with the Dutch and British authorities.

YouTube for business can be a great marketing channel. Advertising on YouTube is tricky so here are some video ideas for small business owners.

General Google Keyword Research

Careful readers of my post on whether to buy a building might have noticed that my business reported a profit in 2010. Yup, it was right there on my 1120S: the company reported earnings of $92,155 on sales of $1,516,837. Which is a little bit of an accomplishment, considering all the years of losses and the terrible first quarter we experienced last year. I’ve been asked to provide some more information about this, specifically, what I did to turn things around.

Before I get into that, I want to reassure all of you that I understand that my years of cumulative losses far exceed this one small profit. I

If one of my clients is a blogger, I always make sure to use two “keyword question” tools to help generate ideas for new blog content. While we tend to think that almost everyone uses Google or Bing to search for short phrases (like “bike store Columbus” or “repair a bike”), the truth is that a lot of people type complete questions into search engines. So, using those questions to come up with content ideas is a no-brainer. There are two primary places you can do question-based keyword research.

Where to Find Question-Based Keywords?

Most keyword research tools work the same way: type a word or phrase, get words or phrases out. There are t
